Mandatory Equipment

Mandatory equipment are items that every participant must carry at all times.

Pong Yaeng Trail 166km [PYT166] and Pong Yaeng Trail 100km [PYT100]

All participants of PYT166 and PYT100 must have:

  1. Bib with your number and the event passport – these will be given to you at the registration.
  2. Whistle – to call for attention in case of emergency.
  3. Container to carry at least 1 litre of water – soft flasks, hydration bladders or bottles are all acceptable.
  4. Torch (flashlight) and a set of spare batteries – please make sure that with the spare batteries, your light source will last at least 12 hours of constant usage – headlaps are cool but classic handheld ones are acceptable too.
  5. Another torch (flashlight) and yet another set of spare batteries – this is your backup so smaller ones are fine.
  6. Mobile phone – must be able to make phone calls in Thailand.
  7. Light jacket or a windbreaker.
  8. First Aid Kit.
  9. Spare Foods/snack.
  10. Rucksack or a backpack which can hold all of the above items – at all times.

Pong Yaeng Trail 66km [PYT66] & Doi Pui Summit 44km [DPS44]

All participants must have:

  1. Bib with your number and the event passport – these will be given to you at the registration.
  2. Whistle – to call for attention in case of emergency.
  3. Container to carry at least 1 litre of water – soft flasks, hydration bladders or bottles are all acceptable.
  4. Torch (flashlight) and a set of spare batteries – please make sure that with the spare batteries, your light source will last at least 12 hours of constant usage – headlaps are cool but classic handheld ones are acceptable too.

Rock Tower Climb 22km [RTC22]

All RTC22 participants must have:

  1. Bib with your number – it will be given to you at the registration.
  2. Container to carry at least 1 litre of water – soft flasks, hydration bladders or bottles are all acceptable.
  3. Mobile phone – must be able to make phone calls in Thailand.
  4. First Aid Kit.
  5. Spare Foods/snack.
  6. Rucksack or a backpack which can hold all of the above items – at all times.

The Botanic Ten 10km [TBT]

All TBT participants must have:

  1. Bib with your number – it will be given to you at the registration.
  2. Container to carry at least 1 litre of water – soft flasks, hydration bladders or bottles are all acceptable.
  3. Mobile phone – must be able to make phone calls in Thailand.

Note

As an organiser, we are responsible for your safety. All mandatory equipment are there to make sure if things do go wrong, you will still be safe. Without all of the mandatory equipment – you will be asked to abandon the event.
